The scope and content of the videos appearing on this site attempt to provide answers to some of the key questions posed by numerous clients over many years. It is fairly clear to me that laymen in my field often view toxicity testing as a “Black Box”. It is not understood and therefore not to be trusted. In reality it is no different than any other type of technology. It has its strengths and weaknesses and should only be used for appropriate applications. For example, WET testing is used to assess “Environmental Health” not “Human Health”. These tests are designed for the protection of aquatic life. For this reason, these tests employ fish and aquatic invertebrates. Protection of Human Health employs a totally different set of test systems. It is our goal to not only provide our clients with testing services to satisfy NYS Discharge Permits but to help clients understand the process their samples are subjected to and the relationship of their results to limits in their permits. Please Contact Us with any questions you have about the content of these videos. Sincerely, Frank Doherty, President, Aquatox Research.
